FY26 REDO Grant Program Announcement
The Healey-Driscoll Administration is pleased to announce the opening of the FY26 round of the REDO Grant Program. The Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED) in consultation with the Massachusetts Office of Business Development (MOBD) will provide capacity building grants to REDOs that facilitate regional projects that grow businesses and support the Massachusetts economy. Their successes attract new employers and foster existing businesses.
EOED is now accepting proposals from eligible organizations as defined in M.G.L. Chapter 23A, Section 3K for projects that aim to work in close partnership with MOBD Regional Directors to support businesses in Massachusetts, aligning with the state's Economic Development Plan, and to advance regionally based efforts to nurture and facilitate economic growth and prosperity. Applicants should include ways their organization improves equity, affordability, and competitiveness in their regions.
Applications will be submitted through the Submittable platform, following a format similar to last year. However, due to a shorter procurement and project timeline for FY2026, EOED has updated the review and contracting processes to expedite application review, grant allocation, disbursement, and year-end reporting.
Prospective applicants must carefully review the FY26 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for all the detailed information about eligibility, requirements, and criteria for requesting funds.
To be eligible for funds from the REDO Program, the applicant must be a duly organized corporation, foundation, organization, or institution that is exempt from federal taxation under section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue; have a primary focus on economic development, operate regionally, engage primarily in activities that promote jobs and business retention; have a history of collaboration with area stakeholders, has other financial support, and agrees to serve their whole region.
For full details about eligibility requirements, please review the NOFA.
