"Scan the Street for Wheels and Feet" Campaign Materials

Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety Materials Developed by MassDOT

In 2025, MassDOT relaunched its "Scan the Street for Wheels and Feet" safety campaign with a refreshed look and an expanded message to promote safer interactions between drivers and Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs). The updated campaign, “Look Always, Look All Ways” builds on the success of the original 2017 version, which focused primarily on pedestrian and bicyclist safety.

This statewide effort now highlights the need to protect all VRUs, including people using wheelchairs, strollers, scooters, mobility devices, and other non-motorized modes of travel. Timed to align with peak walking and biking season and the return of students and commuters in the fall, this campaign aims to promote safer, more respectful streets for everyone.
