SNAP Household Misfortune

If you lost food that you bought with your SNAP benefits because of a fire, flood, loss of electricity, broken refrigerator/freezer, or other disaster, we may be able to replace your benefits. The most we can replace is one month of SNAP. You have 10 days after the loss to report it. Learn below how to report this loss over the phone or in writing.

DTA Connect

You can report the loss using the SNAP 9B form. If you are unable to access or print the form, you may sign and date a written statement that includes the same information.

These forms can be uploaded to DTAConnect.com or on the DTA Connect mobile app. Under upload reason, please select “Request for replacement due to household misfortune.”

Call the DTA Assistance Line at 1‐877‐382‐2363 and then follow these steps to report the food loss:

  3. Press 1
