Description
Hood Pond is 12-acres in size and located off of Ipswich Road in Boxford. The pond is bounded by the Stevens Pond Wetland Conservation area to the north and west, and Ipswich road to the south and east and is undeveloped except for a single residence. Aquatic vegetation is common along the shoreline but opens up in the middle of the pond.
Recreational access
The town of Boxford manages a small parking area and unimproved dirt and gravel launch on the north west corner of the pond off of Ipswich Road (get directions). Shore fishing is possible around the launch and along Ipswich Road in the right-of-way. Please contact the offices of the town of Boxford for additional information and/or restrictions pertaining to public access of Stevens Pond.
Look for this sign along Ipswich Road for access into Stevens Pond.
Park in this turn off but avoid blocking access to the fire department pipes.
Launch your cartop boat here right at the edge of the parking area.
