July 2020 - UMass Decarbonization Studies
Four public higher education institutions are currently in the process of developing campus-wide master plans to reduce onsite fossil fuel use and achieve significant carbon reduction goals by 2050. The studies being conducted at UMass Amherst and UMass Dartmouth are well underway, while UMass Lowell and Salem State University are currently soliciting bids for consultants to conduct their respective studies. UMass Dartmouth, UMass Lowell, and Salem State University each received $100,000 in LBE Grants. You can learn more about these studies in this recently published Press Release.
