Construction activities are anticipated to start in Spring 2026. Weather and unexpected circumstances make all construction activities subject to change without notice, but we will do our best to keep you updated. This page will be updated with the latest available construction information.

Spring 2026

What’s new?

The contractor anticipates the following early construction and site preparation activities: 

• Tree clearing and installation of construction signage throughout the corridor were completed in May 2026.
• Site preparation and remediation will take place at properties slated for demolition at the intersection of Route 114 and Hillside Road in North Andover, including 582, 591, 599, and 607 Turnpike Street.
• Pre-construction surveys will continue corridor-wide through the Summer of 2026.
• Installation of tree protection, erosion control, and stormwater mitigation measures will continue on Route 114 between Willow Street/Mill Road and the Andover Bypass.
• Material deliveries to project work sites and zones.

When?

• All activities are scheduled on weekdays, Monday – Friday.
• Work hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

What to expect?

• Lane shifts, traffic control devices, and police details may be required on Route 114 in the project limits to support these activities for public and worker safety.
• Motorists are advised to use caution and reduce speeds while traveling through active work zones.
