Mass ID
The RMV can issue a Mass ID to people who do not have a Massachusetts driver's license. A Mass ID looks like a driver's license, but it does not extend any driving privileges. A Mass ID is an official form of identity, signature, and age in Massachusetts.
To obtain a Mass ID, you must meet the following requirements:
- You are at least 14 years of age.
- You do not hold a valid driver's license in any jurisdiction.
- You are a resident of Massachusetts.

Liquor ID
The RMV can issue a Liquor ID to people who do not have a Massachusetts driver's license. A Liquor ID looks like a driver's license, but it does not extend any driving privileges. A Liquor ID is an official form of identity, signature, and age in Massachusetts.
To obtain a Liquor ID, you must meet the following requirements:
- You are at least 21 years of age.
- You do not hold a valid Massachusetts driver's license.
- You do not have to be a Massachusetts resident.
