Description
Windsor Lake is a 17-acre man-made pond located at the intersection of Bradley St. and Kemp Ave. in North Adams. Windsor Lake has an average depth of 8 feet, a maximum depth of 19 feet and the water is typically transparent to about 6 feet. Aquatic vegetation is largely restricted to the shallower margins of the lake. Much of the lake lies within Windsor Lake Park and as a result its shores are only lightly developed.
Recreational access
The town of North Adams manages a paved boat ramp suitable for trailered craft off of Bradley St. on the northeast corner of the lake (get directions). Parking for roughly 2-3 cars is provided at the ramp; electric motors only on Windsor Lake. Shore fishing is possible along portions of the southern and western shores where they fall within Windsor Lake Park. Please contact the offices of the town of North Adams for additional information, fee structure and/or restrictions pertaining to public access of Windsor Lake.
