Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) layoff and closure updates

Learn more about layoff and closure notifications from employers in Massachusetts.

About the WARN Act

In compliance with the federal WARN Act, employers must notify the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce development about a layoff or plant closing.

Employers with 50 or more employees must submit a WARN notice. WARN notices must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the layoff or closing.
