Information for Prospective Interpreters for the Courts

Interpreters looking to work with the Trial Court Office of Language Access (OLA) must understand the organization's expected ethical standards. Find out what the application process and requirements are to become a court interpreter.

The workshop and the ethics exam are a mandatory requirement for all active OLA screened and certified interpreters. Interpreters who didn’t participate in the previous workshop/exam period must register the next time it becomes available. Only interpreters on OLA’s list of interpreters are eligible to attend the workshop.
