Dear Michael,
I am writing to congratulate you and your fellow members of the Advisory Board on the continued impressive work of the Board in assuring the excellence of court management. I very much appreciate the Advisory Board's report and have read it carefully.
Among all of the individual initiatives the Board and court personnel undertook during the course of the year, what stands out prominently to me is the powerful leadership the Board and court management are exercising, as evidenced by the enthusiastic participation of so many people in furthering those initiatives. That leadership and that enthusiasm are signs to me that all of you have affected a genuine cultural change from which there is no going back.
I am sure that elements of the many projects undertaken during the course of the year have at times appeared more burdensome than the effort was worth, and yet each of those elements are key to the totality of the eventual management system you are developing.
Needless to say, your work and that of the Board gives value to whatever was accomplished in the Visiting Committee Report.
Sincerely,
J. Donald Monan; S.J.
Chancellor
