Food and Housing Resources for Veterans

Chapter 115 is a means-tested program that provides eligible veterans and their families with financial support for food, shelter, clothing, fuel, and medical care.

The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) partners with more than 600 hunger-relief agencies, including food pantries, community meal programs and other food assistance providers throughout the nine counties and 190 towns and cities across Eastern Massachusetts.

The Montachusett Veterans Outreach Center (MVOC) in North Central Massachusetts offers a monthly food box delivery service and operates a large walk-in pantry in Gardner.

New England Center and Home for Veterans provides a home, meals, and connection to the community, resources, a sense of identity and a path to a better future.

Springfield Partners for Community Action provides veterans and their families throughout Western Massachusetts with quality support services and access to financial assistance programs at the community, state, and federal levels.

The Tri-Valley Inc. Nutrition Program maintains an emergency food pantry for clients aged 60 and older. Meals on Wheels are also available on a short- or long-term basis for homebound older adults who are unable to prepare nutritionally balanced meals.

Veterans Association of Bristol County (VABC) provides healthy monthly food pantries for veterans and their families in Bristol County.

Veterans Inc. offers a food pantry for veterans and their families on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month from 9:00AM-1:00PM.

The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (HLC) offers the Low Income Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), which provides eligible households with comprehensive home energy efficiency services.
