Facilities at State Police Brookfield Barracks

The Brookfield Barracks is located in the area once inhabited by the Quaboag tribe of the Algonquin native Americans. Route 9 is the major east/west thoroughfare and prior to the construction of the Massachusetts Turnpike was the main artery between Boston and New York. The area is renown for its fishing, camping and hunting. Covering 334 square miles, the role of SP Brookfield is much the same as it was in 1930. Troopers patrol the area in cruisers doing all aspects of police activity from motor vehicle enforcement to investigating home breaking and entering. This barracks is also the assisting agency for local part-time and full-time area police departments needing our services.
