Milton Route 28 Road Diet Pilot

MassDOT is conducting a Road Diet Pilot on Route 28 (Randolph Avenue) from Reedsdale Road to Chickatawbut Road in Milton, MA. The goal of the Pilot is to address ongoing public safety concerns along the corridor by reducing speeds and conflicts.

The Pilot will reduce the number of travel lanes from four lanes to two, introduce two-way left-turn lanes in dense access areas, and install painted medians with flex posts where left turns will be restricted. It will be in place from October 2025 through Spring 2026.
