- Operational Services Division
THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF TECHNOLOGY SERVICES AND SECURITY (TSS) HAS ANNOUNCED the Municipal Cybersecurity Awareness Grant Program (MCAGP) for 2024.
The MCAGP is open to all local government agencies, including municipalities, public school districts, libraries, police departments, fire departments, planning commissions, and municipally run utility departments and airports. The program improves overall cybersecurity posture by helping organizations mitigate their human risk through awareness training, and monthly threat simulations (phishing campaigns).
TSS’ Office of Municipal and School Technology (OMST) procures the user licenses and manages the program – making the program free to participating organizations. The application period will close when all available seats are taken or on January 10, 2024, whichever occurs first. Learn more on the Municipal and School Technology website.
Cybersecurity Resources on Statewide Contract
On a related note, the Operational Services Division is keenly aware of today’s dynamic cybersecurity landscape and how necessary it is for organizations to have plans and protections in place to secure their data and IT infrastructure.
In July 2021, OSD, in collaboration with the Executive Office of Technology Services and Security and other experts from around the Commonwealth, launched the ITS78 Statewide Contract to offer comprehensive tools to address cybersecurity for organizations large and small. ITS78 provides a selection of experienced and qualified vendors to address all facets of cybersecurity, including baseline assessments, planning, solutions implementation, and breach remediation. Reach out to our contractors or to the Contract Manager Amanda Ferdinand if you have ITS78 questions.
