STOW — The Massachusetts Department of Fire Services will host its 31st Annual Public Fire & Life Safety Education Conference in Southbridge this fall, offering two days of dynamic workshops and honoring the 2026 Fire & Life Safety Educator of the Year.

State Fire Marshal Jon M. Davine, Deputy State Fire Marshal Maribel Fournier, and DFS leadership will welcome firefighters, educators, service providers, and others at the event, which will celebrate three decades of public fire and life safety education. Workshops are designed for fire educators, fire prevention officers, EMTs, teachers, older adult specialists, nurses, school leaders, police officers, and firefighters at every level of experience.
