- Bureau of Health Professions Licensure
The Board of Registration of Social Work will transition to the Department of Public Health, Bureau of Health Professions Licensure, effective on January 1, 2023.
In order to prepare for the transition of the licensing system, the Division of Occupational Licensure will shut down ePLACE beginning on December 30, 2022. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Health Professions Licensing System will go live on January 9, 2023.
Licenses that expire between December 30, 2022 and January 9, 2023 will remain valid during this period if the holder has submitted a completed online renewal prior to December 30, 2022 or completed paper renewal application delivered to 250 Washington Street prior to the date of expiration. Licenses may be verified beginning on January 6, 2023, on our check a license page.
