- Operational Services Division
ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9, THE COMMONWEALTH’S LEADING BY EXAMPLE PROGRAM, in coordination with the Operational Services Division and the Taunton Housing Authority, hosted the FAC116 Ride and Drive event highlighting battery-powered landscaping equipment available on Statewide Contract FAC116.
Taking place at the Taunton Housing Authority, a full house of public buyers were energized by the presentations delivered by the Leading by Example Team and OSD Strategic Sourcing Services discussing the benefits of battery-powered landscaping equipment. The featured presentations included Ryan Kingston and Morgan Bowler, from Leading by Example Program, who discussed the environmental, health, and financial benefits of going electric and resources to electrify your tools. They were followed by Julia Wolfe and Michael Barry from OSD who discussed the benefits of switching from gas-powered equipment to electric batteries. Following the presentations, attendees headed outside to see the equipment in real life, ask questions, and test out equipment available on Statewide Contract FAC116.
Electrification is a growing trend and the FAC116 Landscaping Equipment Statewide Contract offers many benefits in purchasing commercial-grade battery electric landscaping equipment, including competitive pricing, prompt pay discounts, volume and dock delivery discounts, equipment pricing that includes Free on Board (FOB) delivery, delivery of fully assembled and ready-to-use equipment, including basic training, and a one-year minimum warranty.
