GreenfieldThe new Greenfield Community Justice Support Center (CJSC) is scheduled to open this summer, more than 10 years after the former Greenfield site closed due to budget cuts, according to Kevin M. Kearney, Regional Program Manager.

The new Greenfield Support Center will provide courts across Franklin County access to pathways to reduce reliance on prison and jail and support those returning to the community through parole, the sheriffs department or on their own,” said Vincent Lorenti, Director of the Office of Community Corrections, who oversees the 17 CJSC's currently open across the Commonwealth.

The Greenfield center— now located at 106 Main Street which is the former site of the Juvenile Court— features roughly 12,500 square feet of space with seven treatment spaces—including three group rooms, two interview rooms, and two client lounges as well as 10 staff offices. The center is located a half mile from the Greenfield District Court and is on local bus routes. Debbie Truong, a former Treatment Manager at Framingham CJSC, has been appointed as the center Program Manager.

A new center in Haverhill is planned to open before the end of the year. OCC is also planning to re-open a center in Lynn. The Suffolk County CJSC will host a grand re-opening on Wednesday, June 22, 11 am, at its new location: 78 Amory Street in Boston.
