Maggie walks across the stage at her Suffolk Law School graduation with her guide dog

Born with optic nerve hypoplasia, Maggie credits MCB with playing an “incredible” role in her journey to becoming an attorney. MCB supported her throughout her undergraduate and graduate education, providing financial assistance she describes as “invaluable.” “Coming from a blue-collar family, I wouldn’t have been able to go back to school without MCB,” she shares.

Beyond financial help, MCB assisted Maggie with orientation and mobility training around the city, transportation to and from worksites, and career support—including navigating workplace changes, evolving technology, and shifting responsibilities. That guidance helped her graduate from Suffolk University Law School with her Juris Doctorate in May 2022 and secure her current role as a house attorney at Campaign Industries, where she now earns double her pre-law school salary.

“MCB gave me the tools, resources, and confidence I needed,” Maggie says. “I don’t think I’d be here today without them.”
