WAKEFIELDAt its meeting on February 3, 2022, the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine took disciplinary action against the medical license of Adrian M. Ionescu, M.D.

In a Consent Order, the Board admonished Dr. Adrian Ionescu’s medical license upon his agreement that he removed items from a colleague’s desk and damaged the computer keyboard. Such behavior undermines public confidence in the integrity of the profession. Dr.  Ionescu was first licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts on April 16, 2014.  Dr. Ionescu currently practices medicine with Anesthesia Consultants of California in San Diego.

The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine licenses more than 40,000 physicians, osteopaths and acupuncturists.  The Board was created in 1894 to protect the public health and safety by setting standards for the practice of medicine and ensuring that doctors who practice in the Commonwealth are appropriately qualified and competent. The Board investigates complaints and determines sanctions. More information is available at www.mass.gov/massmedboard, or you may contact the Board at borimmedia@massmail.state.ma.us.
