WAKEFIELD — At its meeting on September 10, 2026, the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine took disciplinary action against the medical license of Dawit H. Bezabih, M.D.
In a Final Decision & Order, the Board revoked Dr. Dawit H. Bezabih’s right to renew his medical license after it found that he had admitted to sufficient facts to find him guilty of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, in addition to other violations. The Board also found that, on another occasion, Dr. Bezabih had been arraigned on multiple criminal charges including, but not limited to, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, assault with a dangerous weapon and threats to commit a crime. Dr. Bezabih then failed to appear in court and a default warrant for his arrest was issued on these charges. Dr. Bezabih, who is board-certified in family medicine, was first licensed in Massachusetts on June 16, 2022. Prior to his entering a Voluntary Agreement Not to Practice Medicine on December 2, 2024, he practiced at Atrius Health in Kenmore.
The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine licenses more than 50,000 physicians, osteopaths and acupuncturists. The Board was created in 1894 to protect the public health and safety by setting standards for the practice of medicine and ensuring that doctors who practice in the Commonwealth are appropriately qualified and competent.
