MCB hosted our third Virtual Town Hall of 2022 to offer a community of support for individuals who are blind and visually impaired across the Commonwealth. We shared an overview of the Commonwealth's Accessible Vote by Mail system.

The Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB) held a Virtual Town Hall: Accessible Vote by Mail on Monday, October 24, 2022. Michelle Tassinari, Director and Legal Counsel for the Commonwealth's Elections Division, provided an overview of the Accessible Vote by Mail system. Representatives from Democracy Live performed an online demonstration of the OmniBallot platform using a screen reader.

Deadline

Voters who are eligible and wish to use the Accessible Vote by Mail system must apply to their local election official. To vote by mail in the November 8 State Election, their application must be received by 5 p.m. on November 1, 2022.
