Given the disparate impacts of mental health and substance use challenges on priority populations, the Department of Public Health (DPH) is supporting returning to the workforce a critical category of culturally competent and experienced professionals. To this end DPH is announcing a one-time fee waiver for initial applications for the behavioral health professional licenses overseen by the Bureau of Health Professions Licensure (BHPL) and Bureau of Substance Addictions Services (BSAS); fee waivers will be prioritized for licensed behavioral health roles where individuals are most likely to work in community-based settings with high workforce needs.
