- Bureau of Health Professions Licensure
Since September 2024, the Department of Public Health (DPH) has supported licensed behavioral health professionals entering the workforce - particularly those in community-based settings - with a one-time fee waiver for initial applications for the licenses overseen by the Bureau of Health Professions Licensure (BHPL) and Bureau of Substance Addictions Services (BSAS)
These waivers were made possible from a fund established by the Legislature in 2024. Due to changes in funding availability, as of June 30, 2026, this fee waiver will no longer be offered to initial license applicants.
The license types affected by this change are:
- Community Health Worker Certification

- Licensed Assistant Applied Behavior Analyst License
