Dear Esteemed Colleagues:

I hope this letter finds you well as we prepare to celebrate Physician Assistant (PA) Week. It has been an honor to serve as the Chair of the Board of Registration of Physician Assistants, and I am thrilled to extend our heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you during this special week.

PA Week is not just a time for us to come together and celebrate our profession; it is an opportunity to recognize and applaud the incredible impact that PAs make on patient care and the broader landscape of healthcare. Our state has been fortunate to witness firsthand the invaluable contributions PAs bring to the table, as you consistently care for the residents of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

PAs, like you, play a pivotal role in ensuring access to high-quality healthcare for our communities. With your unique combination of medical knowledge and compassionate care, you bridge the gap between patients and healthcare providers, delivering exceptional service with dedication and expertise. You are the linchpin of our healthcare system, enhancing patient outcomes, increasing access to care, and improving the overall healthcare experience.

Your unwavering commitment to your patients and your ability to adapt to evolving healthcare challenges have not gone unnoticed, especially through the pandemic. Over the years, we have witnessed PAs rise to the occasion, be it during public health crises, medical emergencies, or the routine care that keeps our communities thriving. Your resilience and adaptability serve as an inspiration to us all.

As we celebrate PA Week, let us remember that it is a time not only for appreciation but also for reflection. We must continue to ensure that PAs are recognized and utilized to their full potential. Together, we can work towards improving our scope of practice, advancing healthcare policies, and making sure that our voices are heard in shaping the future of healthcare in our state.

On behalf of the Board of Registration for Physician Assistants, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of our patients. You are the cornerstone of healthcare in our state, and your impact is immeasurable.

May this PA Week be a time of celebration, reflection, and renewed determination to continue making a difference in the lives of those we serve. We are immensely proud of the work you do, and we look forward to a future where Physician Assistants continue to lead and excel in the field of healthcare.

Wishing you all a joyous and meaningful Physician Assistant Week!

Sincerely,

Dipu Patel, DMSc, MPAS, ABAIM, PA-C
