Restoration project before and after.

DER is seeking applications for river and wetland habitat restoration, streamflow restoration, and urban stream revitalization Priority Projects that align with the Division’s mission to restore and protect the Commonwealth’s rivers, wetlands, and watersheds for the benefit of people and the environment. The intent of this process is to assist DER in identifying and selecting aquatic habitat restoration, streamflow restoration, and urban stream revitalization projects that present significant benefits to the Commonwealth for directed assistance and services.

DER pursues aquatic habitat restoration, streamflow restoration, and urban stream revitalization projects that present the greatest benefit to the Commonwealth in consideration of the project’s cost, size, practicality, feasibility, opportunity for public education and recreation, ecological restoration potential, available program resources, direct benefits to aquatic resources, and partner support. DER is interested in projects that are at all stages of development.

Download the RFR to review information on eligibility and applying. You can explore our Project Map to see current and completed projects.

The application deadline is June 28, 5PM.
