We advise the Director of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP) on matters of policy, before the issuance of rules and regulations. We also perform other duties as the director may request.
Our Committee consists of 14 members who serve at the pleasure of the governor.
Membership includes representatives who are physicians or persons active in the field of public health. We also have:
- At least one member who is a representative of the Massachusetts Association of Community Development Corporations
- At least two members who are parents of children under six years of age who live in lower-income urban areas
- At least one member who is a representative of the Massachusetts Rental Housing Association
- At least one member who is a representative of the Massachusetts Bankers Association
- At least one member who is a representative of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors
- At least one member who is a representative of the property and casualty insurance industry.
