Information on the JJPAD

The JJPAD Board was established by Chapter 69 of the Acts of 2018, and is chaired and staffed by the Office of the Child Advocate. The Juvenile Justice Policy and Data (JJPAD) Board brings together representatives of stakeholders across the juvenile justice system to evaluate current policies and procedures and make recommendations designed to:

  • Improve public safety and promote public welfare
  • Promote the best interests of youth under the care and supervision of the juvenile justice system
  • Improve transparency and accountability of state-funded services for youth involved with the juvenile justice system
  • Promote efficient sharing of information to improve collection and reporting of performance data

The JJPAD Board has two subcommittees: Data and Community-Based Interventions. The Childhood Trauma Task Force operates under the umbrella of the JJPAD Board and functions as a third subcommittee.
