Local Public Health Institute
The Institute is a Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) funded entity created to strengthen local public health through training and education.

Its mission is to provide and ensure a competent workforce by strengthening and sustaining the capacity of local boards of health to prepare for and respond to public health issues and emergencies and to promote the health of residents of the Commonwealth.

The DelValle Institute
The Institute, a program of the Boston Public Health Commission, is supported by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, with funding from the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The Institute's mission is to provide high quality all-hazards training for public health, health care, and public safety personnel, with a focus on chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive incident preparedness, response, and recovery. DelValle's trainings are targeted to personnel in Eastern Massachusetts.
