Food Security Infrastructure Grant Program

EEA is committed to ensuring that individuals and families throughout the Commonwealth have access to food.

The goal of the Food Security Infrastructure Grant (FSIG) Program is to ensure that individuals and families throughout the Commonwealth have access to food, with a special focus on food that is produced locally and equitable access to food. The program also seeks to ensure that farmers, fisherman and other local food producers are better connected to a strong, resilient food system to help mitigate future food supply and distribution disruption.

The Food Security Infrastructure Grant Program is now taking applications - Learn more and apply here.

MDAR seeks input from food, farm, seafood producers and other MA food supply chain entities. MDAR is conducting a five-year evaluation of the FSIG Program to improve its efficacy and impact. Auribus Consulting has been engaged to lead the evaluation and will be conducting 1-hr virtual focus groups with past applicants, awardees and other interest holders this month. If interested in participating, please complete this form. *Note: Anyone who intends to apply to the current open application for FY26 should not participate in the focus groups.

Share Your FSIG Success Story - MDAR is seeking impact stories from past FSIG project awardees. Please complete this success story form if interested in sharing about your project’s impact and we may reach out to learn more.
