To assist in the work of evaluating the Health Care Cost Containment Law of 2012 (Chapter 224), the Office of the State Auditor (OSA) assembled an Advisory Committee consisting of individuals representing many facets of the health care market: providers, payers, the business community, representatives of the health care workforce, health care advocates, and representatives from academia who conduct research in the health care and/or public health fields.
The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to provide feedback on our research plans, the data used in this project, and the analysis conducted on that data. The Advisory Committee helps to ensure that the right questions are being asked, that assumptions are challenged where appropriate, and ultimately, that reports and recommendations to the Legislature are meaningful and useful toward the end-goal of achieving cost containment in the Commonwealth’s healthcare market.
