Information on upcoming public hearings

The Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB) is holding public hearings remotely. All public hearings will occur on the advertised dates and times. Details and instructions for attending and testifying remotely are provided below for each hearing. If you plan to testify at a remote hearing, MCB strongly encourages you to register in advance. MCB encourages you to submit written testimony in addition to, or instead of, providing testimony at the hearing.

You may submit written testimony about proposed regulations by the specified date by emailing mcbinfo@mass.gov. Please submit electronic testimony as an attached Microsoft Word document or as text within the body of the email and type the name of the regulation in the subject line. All submissions must include the sender's full name and address. Persons who are unable to submit electronic testimony should mail written testimony to:

Send an email to MCB.PublicHearings@mass.gov to receive notification whenever MCB is advertising proposed regulations.

Comprehensive Annual Independent Living Social Services Plan for Fiscal Year 2024

The Massachusetts Commission for the Blind will hold a public hearing to obtain comments and feedback on its proposed Comprehensive Annual Independent Living Social Services Plan for Fiscal Year 2024. When final, the Plan will be in effect from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024.The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Zoom.
