Public Insurance Adjuster Continuing Education Requirements

Continuing Education requirements for Public Insurance Adjusters, under Massachusetts law, M.G.L.c.175 § 172, requires all Public Insurance Adjusters to fulfill fifteen (15)  hours of continuing education to maintain their licenses.

A person renewing a public insurance adjuster's license shall be certified by the Division of Insurance and its vendor as having completed before the renewal of said license a total of fifteen (15 hours) of approved continuing education;  public insurance adjuster courses only. A public insurance adjuster will not receive CE credit for taking a producer licensee CE course, nor will a producer receive CE credit for taking a public insurance adjuster CE course.

Public Insurance Adjuster licenses renew on a triennial basis from original date of licensure. One must be CE compliant prior to renewal of license; there is not reinstatement period allowed for public insurance adjusters. Public Insurance Adjusters are not required to take an MA approved Ethics course.
