Radon Industry Standards

This information is about radon industry standards.

The American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (AARST) Consortium on National Radon Standards develops, maintains and publishes National Consensus Standards for measurement and mitigation of radon in both existing and new buildings. The Consortium is an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) established process. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health supports the use of the ANSI/AARST Standards on Radon. These standards cover a variety of radon topics:

  • Single-family Dwellings
  • Multi-family Dwellings
  • Schools and Large Buildings
  • New Construction
  • Radon in Water
  • Quality Assurance
