SHIP Social and Recreational Resources

Resources for social and recreational activities within the Statewide Head Injury Program (SHIP)

The Statewide Head Injury Program (SHIP) funds statewide recreational activities for people living with brain injuries to foster group participation, offer leisure exploration, expand social bonds, and promote an enhanced quality of life. These activities also offer a chance to participate in and strengthen skills in planning, decision-making, and leadership through involvement in event selection and design. The diverse range of activities includes physical engagement, artistic endeavors, wellness, community access, and entertainment.

To learn about the programs providing Social & Recreation Services to people with brain injury across the state and locate the programs near you please contact SHIP at 617 -204-3852.
