SMART Retirement & Beyond Seminars (MSRB)

2018 SMART Retirement & Beyond Seminars

These retirement planning seminars are held every spring and fall and are exclusively for Massachusetts State Employees. They are sponsored by State Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg, the Massachusetts State Retirement Board, and the Massachusetts Deferred Compensation SMART Plan. Additionally, a Social Security Administration representative participates when their schedule permits.

Whether a member is just beginning their career with the state or close to retirement, these seminars are very beneficial. Eligible members learn about the features and latest updates on their pension benefit and the benefits of investing in the Massachusetts Deferred Compensation SMART Plan.

Thank you to Worcester State University, Bridgewater State University, Westfield State University, UMass Lowell and the John W. McCormack Building for hosting the 2018 Fall seminars.

MSRB 2018 Fall SMART Retirement & Beyond Seminar Schedule:

Registration for all seminars is now closed as all seminars reached maximum capacity. The 2019 Spring schedule will be posted here as soon as it’s available in late January 2019.

In the meantime, if your agency would like to host a seminar for its employees, please email a request to MSRBCommunications@tre.state.ma.us.

Thank you for your interest!
