- MEPA only accepts comments on projects that are currently under review.
- Only written comments (either hard copy or electronic) are reflected in the public record.
Any agency or person may comment on projects undergoing MEPA review. Comments on and ENF must be filed within 20 days following publication of the ENF in the Environmental Monitor unless the public comment period is extended.
Comments on an EIR must be filed within 30 days of the publication of the availability of the EIR in the Environmental Monitor, unless the public comment period is extended.
Comments on a Notice of Project Change must be filed within 20 days of the publication of the notice of the Notice of Project Change, unless the public comment period is extended.
Submitting Comments Electronically
All comments received by the deadline will be provided to the Secretary for review and included in the public record for the project. Comments can be e-mailed directly to the Environmental Analyst reviewing the project. Please reference the project name and EEA# in the subject line of the e-mail. The EEA# and Environmental Analyst assigned to the project can be found in the Environmental Monitor.

Submit Comments by Hand Delivery
Electronic comments are preferred; however, written comments comments may be hand delivered to the MEPA office located on the 9th floor of 100 Cambridge St. Boston, MA. Office hours are 9 AM - 5 PM.
Please note that a picture ID is required to access to the EEA offices. If entering the building from Cambridge Street, take the escalator to the second floor to the security desk. You also may enter from the second floor plaza between Bowdoin and Somerset Streets -- the security desk is just inside the door.
