Updating your Petition for Admission

If any information has changed since you filed your Petition for Admission, you must update the Petition.

All petitioners are obligated, by the Board of Bar Examiners Rule V.1.2., to file in writing with the Clerk's office of the Supreme Judicial Court for The County of Suffolk any changes or additions to answers that you have made on your petition. This includes change of address, name, employment or other disclosures since the filing of the petition.

This obligation shall continue until you are admitted to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or until such time as your petition is withdrawn or denied by the Supreme Judicial Court.

Update your Personal Information

If you have relocated, changed your email address or changed your name since you filed your Petition, you must submit the new information on the applicable form listed below.

Employment and Disclosure Updates

Changes to your employment or disclosure information since you filed your petition, must be reported to the Court.  The updated information should be detailed in a written rider page and sent to:

You must include your name, address and type of Petition (Examination, Motion) as well as the required form or rider page.
