The July 2022 bar exam will be held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA and limited seating at Western New England University in Springfield, MA.  See Frequently Asked Questions for more information.

Filing Period: The filing deadline for the Petition for Admission by Examination for the July 2022 bar exam was May 6, 2022.

About the BBE

The Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners (BBE) is established by G.L. c. 221 §§35 & 36 to evaluate the qualifications of persons seeking admission to the bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Board of Bar Examiners reviews all petitions for admission to the Massachusetts bar submitted by eligible candidates to ensure that all persons admitted to the bar are fully qualified by education, knowledge, and character and fitness. See forms and general information relating to the admission process in Massachusetts - this list will provide various forms and information that will be helpful for navigating the admission process.
