Youth Leadership Network (YLN)

A program for youth with disabilities aged 14-26.

What is the YLN?

The Youth Leadership Network (YLN) is a state-wide program promoting self-advocacy and self-awareness for youth and young adults with disabilities ages 14-26. The YLN is run by Easter Seals-MA, and carries out activities through monthly meetings, events and social media. Meetings are held at four locations across the state, in partnership with local Independent Living Centers.

  • Meetings are fun, with hands-on activities and discussions about communication, teamwork, community service, disability rights, career interests, and employment skills.

  • Each meeting focuses on a theme to help prepare youth for transitions to employment, adult living, and continuing education.

  • The Network connects youth from across the state through community service projects, an opportunity to visit the State House, and other group activities.

  • The Network also holds workshops for families to share information and learn about resources available to assist with youth transition.

Who is Eligible to Participate?

  • Participation in this program is free
