Supreme Judicial Court Single Justice Decisions

The Supreme Judicial Court Clerk's Office for the County of Suffolk manages all matters before the Court's single justice. The office now introduces a new website to make decisions publicly available.

In July, 2024, the Clerk's office began archiving and publishing final decisions of the single justices which are now available electronically through a searchable website.

Overview

Final decisions in single justice cases (except for fully impounded cases) may be searched at the link below. Passwords are not necessary. Searches may be conducted by docket number, involved party, decision date, SJC justice, or by using word search.

Decisions are currently available for the years 2019 to the present. New case decisions will be posted as they are issued. Efforts are continuing to digitally prepare decisions in older cases for publication.

SJC Single Justice Archive Searchable Website

Older decisions and other case documents deemed to be "public information" are available for public inspection at the office of the SJC Clerk for the County of Suffolk. Documents in impounded cases may only be viewed at the office of the SJC Clerk for the County of Suffolk, and only by the counsel or party of record with proper identification.
