Unclaimed Property Division

The Unclaimed Property division of the Massachusetts state Treasury connects citizens with their abandoned property such as bank accounts, uncashed checks, stocks or dividends, insurance policies, or the contents of safe deposit boxes. The state holds this reported property until the rightful owner or heir claims it.

Veterans Homes Council

The nineteen member Veterans Homes Council was established through law in 2022. The Council acts an advisory body to make recommendations to the Secretary of the Executive Office of Veterans Services (EOVS) to ensure the health, well-being, and safety of residents of state-operated Veterans Homes and access to equitable, high quality, and competent care for veterans across the Commonwealth.

Water Resources Commission

The Water Resources Commission was established in 1956 by the Massachusetts Legislature and is responsible for developing, coordinating, and overseeing the Commonwealth’s water policy and planning activities to ensure that Massachusetts will have plentiful water to support health, safety, economic development, and ecological vitality for generations to come. The twelve-seat Commission includes appointees from seven state agencies or offices and five public members.
