Division of Banks  

The Division of Banks (DOB) is the chartering authority and primary regulator for financial service providers in Massachusetts. DOB's primary mission is to ensure a sound, competitive, and accessible financial services environment throughout the Commonwealth.

Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance  

DCAMM is responsible for capital planning, public building construction, facilities management, and real estate services for the Commonwealth. 

Division of Conservation Services  

DCS offers grants to municipalities and nonprofit organizations for the acquisition of conservation and parkland, as well as for park renovation and development. DCS also reviews Conservation Restrictions (CR), administers the Conservation Land Tax Credit (CLTC) Program, and supports Conservation Districts.

Division of Ecological Restoration  

DER restores and protects rivers, wetlands, and watersheds in Massachusetts for the benefit of people and the environment.

Division of Fisheries and Wildlife  

MassWildlife is responsible for the conservation of freshwater fish and wildlife in the Commonwealth, including endangered plants and animals. MassWildlife restores, protects, and manages land for wildlife to thrive and for people to enjoy.

Division of Insurance  

The primary mission of the Division of Insurance (DOI) is to monitor the solvency of its licensees in order to promote a healthy, responsive and willing marketplace for consumers who purchase insurance products. Protection of consumer interests is of prime importance to the Division and is safeguarded by providing accurate and unbiased information so consumers may make informed decisions and by intervening on behalf of consumers who believe they have been victimized by unfair business practices.

Division of Local Services  

DLS promotes sound municipal finance management practices and supports local officials by providing guidance, training and oversight.

Division of Marine Fisheries  

The Division of Marine Fisheries manages the state’s commercial and recreational saltwater fisheries and oversees other services that support the marine environment and fishing communities.

Division of Occupational Licensure  

The Division of Occupational Licensure (DOL), through its boards and offices, licenses and regulates more than 500,000 individuals, businesses, and schools to engage in over 100 trades and professions in Massachusetts.

Division of Standards  

The Division of Standards enforces accuracy requirements and other standards relating to weighing and measuring devices and their use in the sale of food, fuels and other products. DOS regulates the sale of gasoline and sets standards for lubricating oils and antifreeze, including the inspection of all fuel dispensing equipment for required markings pertaining to grade and brand. The Division also tests and approves coin operated devices, licenses auctioneers, transient vendors, promoters, peddlers, motor fuel and oil retailers and registers auto damage repair shops, and enforces the item pricing law, unit pricing regulations and item pricing waivers to retail food stores.
