Community Engagement Division

Connect with our division for trainings and resources for your community!

The Attorney General’s Community Engagement Division (CED) helps fulfill the
office’s mission to serve all people in Massachusetts across its diverse
communities. CED works to establish a bridge between community members and
the Attorney General’s Office so that residents can access resources, services, and
educational materials for themselves and their communities. CED promotes
awareness of the AGO’s work through know-your-rights trainings, webinars,
tabling, and speaking programs that help the public understand their rights in
Massachusetts.
To ensure the AGO maintains a statewide presence, CED includes regional
coordinators supporting each AGO regional office, including Springfield, New
Bedford, Worcester, and Lowell. CED works closely with bureaus and teams across
the AGO to ensure information shared with the public is accurate, up to date, and
developed with input from subject matter experts.

Invite CED to Your Organization or Community Event!

A major part of the Community Engagement Division’s work is providing presentations across Massachusetts both in person and virtually as needed and attending events to share AGO resources directly with constituents. The information our team shares uses Attorney General’s Office-approved resources to educate residents on their rights, highlight available AGO materials, and methods to contact our office.

The Youth Council offers young people an opportunity to advise the Attorney General, engage with the policies and processes of state government, and learn more about the work of the Attorney General’s Office. Selected through an application process, Youth Council members convene regularly to learn about critical issues, build skills as leaders and advocates, and provide counsel to the Attorney General and her staff.
