Explore Community Health Equity Initiative (CHEI) data

Data and action support 

CHEI partners with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and the Public Health Institute of Western Massachusetts to offer assistance on how to use CHEI data for action. Request customized data analyses and 1:1 assistance.

Access CHEI data 

CHEI collects data on Massachusetts residents’ experiences with structural causes of health inequities. This includes social circumstances, economic situations, and environmental needs. Surveys help point out strengths, gaps, health needs, and concerns in communities across Massachusetts. 

Racial justice framing 

To address health equity, we must reduce social and structural barriers that lead to poor health. Learn how to interpret and act upon CHEI results with a racial equity lens.
