Overview   of Community Policing and Behavioral Health Advisory Council (CPBHAC) Meeting

The Community Policing and Behavioral Health Advisory Council (CPBHAC) will meet on November 18, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at One Ashburton Place, 21st Floor, Conference Room 2, Boston, MA 02108.

2. Introductions  of CPBHAC Members

3. Review of Minutes of the June 24, 2019 and October 7, 2019 Meetings

4. Update on administrative capacity for The Center for Police Training in Crisis Intervention (The Center) within Department of Mental Health: Matt Broderick

5. MPTC Curriculum:  DMH to review and provide comments regarding behavioral health topics: Matt Broderick and Robert Ferullo 

  • Opportunities for increased collaboration between MPTC & DMH, and increased training on behavioral health topics
  • How to obtain input from CPBHAC Members
  • How to obtain input from Police Chiefs 

6. MPTC data base of police trainings: ensuring that all behavioral health trainings taken by officers throughout the Commonwealth are recorded: Robert Ferullo and Shelia Gallagher

  • System would provide means of determining extent of training received by officer, by department
  • System would serve as means of assessing required training among officers and departments

7. Direction and goals for FY 2020 and beyond: council members
