Halloween Luminary Walk (Sterling Rail Trail) 10/4/25

Meet at Mass Central Rail Trail - Sterling Spur, 25 Gates Road, Sterling. About 1 mile round trip. 

Take a spooky lantern stroll and hear scary stories, listen for wildlife, and enjoy the scents and sounds of autumn. We will start at sunset and return in darkness with lanterns guiding our way.  Glow sticks will be provided to warn the Will-o’-the-Wisp away! 1-mile round trip, flat terrain.

Dogs are not allowed on water supply protection lands. Service and medical support animals, when acting within their service capacity, are welcome.  

Hike will be a slow pace and last about 1.5 hours. In the case of inclement weather, hike may be cancelled or modified. To check on hike status please call 774-261-1809 or email Kathryn.Parent@mass.gov.
