Overview

Fees: Free

Meet at Wachusett Reservoir Gate 39 North Dike, Rt 110 Clinton. Parking at the intersection of South Meadow Road and Route110, Clinton. 

About three miles round trip to the Wachusett Dam and back.

This walk along the North Dike offers scenic views over the water and takes you through a railroad rock cut to the spillway and points of interest around Wachusett Dam. 

Be prepared for windy conditions.

Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water. Bring trekking poles, ice cleats, or snowshoes depending on trail condition.

Dogs are not allowed on water supply protection lands.

Hike will be a slow pace and last about 1.5 hours. In the case of inclement weather, hike may be cancelled or modified. To check on hike status please call 617-352-4044 or email Kathryn.Parent@mass.gov.
