Meet at Wachusett Reservoir Gate 39 North Dike, Rt 110 Clinton. Parking at the intersection of South Meadow Road and Route110, Clinton.
About 2.5 miles round trip to the Wachusett Dam and back.
End the month of March with this visitor favorite! This open hillside walk along the Wachusett Reservoir features how nature and architecture align and takes you through a rock cut to the spillway, and points of interest around the Wachusett Dam. Following the morning hike, bring your own lunch to hear more about the reservoir history at our headquarters.
Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water. Bring trekking poles, ice cleats, or snowshoes depending on trail condition.
Dogs are not allowed on water supply protection lands.
Hike will be a slow pace and last about 1.5 hours. In the case of inclement weather, hike may be cancelled or modified. To check on hike status please call 617-352-4044 or email Kathryn.Parent@mass.gov.
